So, you have your business idea cultivated and your marketing methods ready and waiting. All that‘s left for you to do is come up with a catchy and enticing name for your business. This should be one of the most fun parts about your business venture but it’s also a vital part in drawing the right customers or clients to you.
When creating the special name for your business go for catchy and memorable rather than just generic. Don’t use a name that literally describes your product or service. Keep it short and simple so that people can remember it easily. Also, make sure it’s easy to pronounce. Who wants to use a service with a name that can’t even be said correctly? Try not to use geographical locations in the name because this can be very limiting in the areas that you attract customers or clients.
The first thing you need to do after getting an idea for a name is search to make sure that any name you have in mind is not already being used for another business. This is VERY important because you don’t want to start off with legal problems from the very beginning. People can be very sensitive about someone else “borrowing” the name of THEIR business however innocent that error might have been. You should come up with at least 3 names for your business that create excitement. List them in order of your preference. Then start searching.
When asking the all important question of what’s in a name, you may now have a better understanding of just how valuable this will be to the success of your business.
