As a teen entrepreneur who is interested in getting a business started, you will need some experience in setting up a business and then dealing with people in such a way that they will want to do business with you for the service you offer. However, as a teen, you most likely have not had a lot of experience in doing either of those things.

Enter the wonderful world of volunteering. This is a great way to learn how to do many different things from light office management to handling people in a crisis. You simply do your assigned tasks at whatever agency or organization you choose to volunteer for.  A lot of it is office work such as filing, answering the phone, and data entry. These may seem trite but they are all things you need to know how to do in a smoothly run a business. [Read more...]

One of the things that will take you far in the world of running your own business is being able to effectively communicate with your clients or customers. This is something that is vital to the success of your business, whether you are a teen business entrepreneur or an adult. If you cannot talk with your clients or customers in a way that they can comprehend, you may as well do some sort of desk job that doesn’t require you to have to speak with people.

The best way to start learning to effectively communicate is through people you meet in everyday life. Start a conversation with someone you don’t know very well, or even with a stranger. This helps build your confidence level of talking to all different types of people. You will start to become more comfortable with your speaking and conversational skills. This is something you will carry with you the rest of your life. [Read more...]

When this happens, it’s quite possible that you will need to hire someone to help you.

When you have decided to start working from your home, the first thing you will need to do is create a working area. This can be done even if you don’t have an extra room to devote solely to working. You may be wondering just how that is possible, but be assured that you can do it.

Take into consideration the type of work you will be performing from your home office. Nearly all jobs will carry the need for a desk of some sort. The size of your work space will dictate the size of the desk you can have. You will also need a relatively comfortable chair to go with your desk.  For some, a telephone may be vital, and for nearly all work at home jobs, a computer is necessary. These are your staples. Business Advantages of Homeschooling Teens

Put the World in Thier Hands

Homeschooling teens give them a bit of an advantage over other teens when it comes to creating and developing a business idea.  Teens who are homeschooled tend to be encouraged in independent thinking.  They are also given a bit of free rein regarding the development of a business.

As these teens are not on a strict schedule that cannot be altered if needed, they have much more freedom to work out their business ideas and put them into practice.  This is when parents who have taken on the challenge of homeschooling teens can really make a huge difference in their lives.  They can offer these teens the encouragement that they may not receive if they are attending a public or private school. And make no mistake:  Encouragement is something that will go a long way with teens who are trying to make their business dreams come alive. [Read more...]

Being a business owner comes with both privileges and responsibilities, not only to yourself, but to others as well as God.   As a Christian I am sure you realize that it is God who gave you the business and the abilities that you have to run it.  As a result, you will want to do all that you can to make certain that you are running your business as a Christian should.

As Christian business owners we should stand out from the crowd by offering top-notch service, stand firm on our promises, and go the extra mile for our clients.  Doing so will not only make your business successful, but also make it a shining light and a witness in our world.

Too many business owners allow themselves to become involved in schemes or scams in the pursuit of the almighty dollar.  By doing so they are not only giving their business and themselves a bad image and reputation, but they are also not being faithful to God by being dishonest and not honoring the commandments that He gives us all as Christians.
